Lake Park – Coquitlam
notes from Mom |
| Activity:
If you’re ever driving around the burbs in Coquitlam and run across a lake,
you’ve discovered Como Lake. A little gem of tranquility in the midst
of a busy city. A stroll around the lake is about one kilometre.
I remember Kelvin and the kids entered a fishing derby held at Como Lake.
That was at least five years ago. Kelvin said it was so busy on the
docks, the kids hardly had room to drop their lines. Apparently the
lake gets stocked once a year with rainbow trout. Fishing however
is restricted to seniors, and kids ages 16 and under.
Details: If you’d like to find Como Lake, look for 686 Gatensbury Street on the map. For information, call 604-927-3000. Website: www.coquitlam.ca Area: Coquitlam Season: All seasons |
