Peterson Turgoose – Art Exhibition
North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents Peterson Turgoose at the District Library Gallery.
Peterson’s work aims to mesh elements of urban landscapes from different perspectives throughout British Columbia. He applies the constant construction-renewal process that has become a trademark of a transitory city like Vancouver. He fuses core natural colours and textures with a plasticity of the city’s image. He manipulates viscosity levels in the acrylic glazing to allow him to maneuver the medium in a myriad of ways. The result is multi-layered with a textured liveliness and dimensional quality that ultimately showcases the image in transition.
