North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents
Sibeal Foyle
District Library Gallery
Lynn Valley Main Library, 1277 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver
Bringing together elements of emotion, introspection and reflection, Sibeal's paintings deal with themes of emigration, the fragility of our environment, and the transitional and reflective symbol of water. Weaving together stories based on personal experiences, Sib?al melds formal painting concerns with a flair for colour, exuberant compositions and imagination.
Sibeal is an artist and educator who has lived on the North Shore since 1987. Born and raised in Ireland, she comes from a rich tradition of oral history and storytelling. Her work investigates many aspects of life but is primarily inspired by events that impact her family and community on a local and global level.

Forbidden Vancouver presents Prohibition City Walking Tour

Saloon doors swung closed for good, forcing law-abiding citizens into an underground world of bootlegged spirits and illicit activity. These ain't the kinda stories you'll hear on tour buses, nor the kind you'll read in guide books.  https://forbiddenvancouver.ca/home/prohibition-city/

And what can make movies even better? Watching them in the morgue, of course! The Vancouver Police Museum is proud to present Movies in the Morgue, a monthly series of film screenings held right here at the old Vancouver city morgue. Come join us on the second Tuesday of each month for a gritty drama, a classic comedy or a heart-pounding action film, all while surrounded by the ghosts and gadgets of Vancouver’s past.  Recurring monthly on the 2nd Tuesday, https://vancouverpolicemuseum.ca/movies-in-the-morgue/
