Park - Coquitlam
Notes from Coleman |
| Activity:
What if I told you there’s a 435-acre park smack dab in the middle of Coquitlam.
What if I said it has a circle trail that takes you past a lake and lots
of big trees. My Mom would love this park because she hates looking
at the same scenery twice in a row. What if I also mentioned this
park has a soccer field, baseball diamond, and a lacrosse box. I
can’t resist those lacrosse boxes for riding my bike inside—flat and no
nets.
Wait! It gets even better. I haven’t told you about the outdoor swimming pool and the playground. You heard me, PLAYGROUND. What if I told you not many people know about this park because it’s all the way in Coquitlam. If I lived in Coquitlam I probably wouldn’t tell anybody either. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about waiting on the steps of the slide to go down. All right, I’m going to tell you the name—but only if you promise not to blab. Mundy Park. Race you to the slide. Details: Mundy Park is at 641 Hillcrest Street in southeast Coquitlam. My parents don’t know where that is either. But 435 acres can’t be that hard to find. For information, call 604-927-3000.
