Here's Nate trying to hit over the water on the 8th hole at the Ambleside
Beach Pitch and Putt |
Activity:
Our son Nathan loves watching golf on television. When he was four
years old he started playing miniature golf in Parksville, Vancouver Island,
on our summer vacations there. He's now nine years old and is always
asking me to take him down to the local pitch and putt course in North
Vancouver (Murdo Frazer pitch and putt golf course). I have admit
it is fun to get out with Nathan and smack the ball around, although I
spend an inordinate amount time looking for my lost ball. If you've
never tried pitch and putt, you should: it doesn't take much time, doesn't
cost an arm and leg, everybody has fun, and the courses are challenging
enough so you can still pretend your Tiger Woods at Pebble Beach.
