Vancouver Harbour Tours
notes from Mom
Activity:
I remember when I was in grade seven, our class made a day trip to Vancouver. It was our big fanfare before moving onto junior high school. To be honest with you, I can't remember anything we did, except for the tour we took of Vancouver's inner harbour. We putted around the harbour in a small ferry boat, with the "Captain" pointing out all the interesting sites. Having never left Vancouver Island, I thought Vancouver was pretty much the neatest place ever. The harbour tour was great because you could see a lot without having to get in and out of a vehicle. If you'd like to get a grand tour of Vancouver's inner harbour without fighting traffic, give the Harbour Tour a try. If nothing else you'll enjoy the peace and relaxation of being on the water. The view is incredible, so be sure to bring your camera.
Details:
You can catch the boat at the north foot of Denman Street (beside Stanley Park). The tour takes about one-and-a-quarter hours. You'll cruise past Stanley Park, the Lion's Gate Bridge, and Gastown. If you'd like more information, call (604) 688-7246, 1-800-663-1500, or visit their website at www.boatcruises.com.
