Fast Track Indoor Karting - Langley

By Coleman

Hey, this is Coleman.   Dad dropped a hint last night that "Father's Day is just around the corner."  In other words, saying "I forgot," isn't going to cut it this year.  Anyway, last night while I was doing my Math homework I came up with the best idea ever:  a ticket to  Fast Track Indoor Karting.  I must say, of all the genius ideas I've ever come up with, this one takes the cake.

I heard from a friend of a friend that this place just opened.  That means their karts are brand new, as in still shiny.  Plus they're imported from Europe, and sit only two inches from the ground.   Apparently you can reach speeds of 65 to 70 km!, and they have a state-of-the-art timing system (whatever that means).  Each race lasts about eight minutes, and here's the deal-breaker, it's indoors.   So you don't have to cancel your plans if it starts to rain.  I remember that once happened to one of my friends.  We ended up going to a movie.  It wasn't bad, but no where near as fun as kart racing.

Little kids, (when I say little I mean at least four feet tall), have a track of their own.  It's the only place in the lower mainland with a dedicated track for kids.  I wish someone thought of that when I was younger.  I don't know how many times I got stuck riding on my Dad's lap.  Sorry Dad, no offence, but it's way more fun to turn the steering wheel by myself.

I can't wait to see Dad's face when he opens my gift.  Hopefully he'll be as excited as I am, and take me there before he has to mow the lawn or whatever else other excuse he always has.  I know as soon as Dad gets there, he'll have fun, even though the helmets spoil his hairdo.

Fast Track Indoor Karting is in Langley, and it's open seven days a week from 10:00 in the morning until midnight.  Maybe we'll see you there.
