Activity:
Here's a novel way to get to and from Science
World and Granville Island. How
about taking a ride on a restored interurban tram car? The restored tram
cars were originally operated by the British Columbia Electric Railway
on its Greater Vancouver - Fraser Valley interurban electric railway system.
The interurban system was shut down in 1958. Interurban car 1207
used to run from Marpole to Steveston in 1905. Tram 1231 was built
in 1912 by the St. Louis Car Company and was part of the general fleet
of interurbans tram cars.
