Update: Robson Square has been closed for skating until further notice,
due to BC Provincial government budget constraints. Let's hope that
this great family event will once again be resurrected.
Activity: How many places do you know in Vancouver where you can skate outdoors? The only two places I can think of is at the Robson Square Conference Centre, and the rink at the top of Grouse Mountain. Starting about December 1st, and depending on the weather you can strap on the blades and do the rink at Robson Square. Be sure to phone ahead to see if the rink is open. And best of all the the skating is FREE! Afterwards, head to the Chapter's Book Store (kitty corner to the rink) for a hot chocolate, and to browse their extensive book collection. Or checkout the adjacent Vancouver Art Gallery. Details:Open everyday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Located at the Robson Square Conference Centre, 800 Robson Street. Skate rentals are not available. Area:Vancouver Season: Winter |
