Lake, and ?. Trout Lake Park (also known as John Hendry Park) in
East Vancouver takes its name from Trout Lake, which in the late 1800s
was a floating peat bog that supplied water to Hastings Mill. Today
the lake is still a popular swimming hole surrounded by a community centre,
playground, ice rink, and in the Summer, one of the best Farmers'
Market in Vancouver.
