How many lakes can you name in the city of Vancouver...lets see there's Lost Lagoon, Beaver Lake, and ?.  Trout Lake Park (also known as John Hendry Park) in East Vancouver takes its name from Trout Lake, which in the late 1800s was a floating peat bog that supplied water to Hastings Mill.  Today the lake is still a popular swimming hole surrounded by a community centre, playground, ice rink, and in the Summer, one of the best Farmers' Market in Vancouver.
